Am 16. und 17. April 2004 gab's ein jazziges Wochenende zusammen mit den

The FOUR FELLOWS Group is composed by: ELOISA BERNARDO (soprano), TERRY FESSIA (contralto), GIOVANNI GRIMALDI (tenore), MARCO LUONGO (basso).
At first they took part of the ORCHESTRA STABILE CITTA' DI CHERASCO directed by Roberto Andreoli for the "ASSEDIO" a contemporary Opera written by Roberto Andreoli (ein Musiklehrer in Cherasco) too.
Since then, they started to cooperate permanently.
At present, with ANDREA PALA (vibe) and PINO RUSSO (guitar), they pourpose a Jazz Vocal Repertory with some quotation of italian tunes.

Four Fellows vocal quartet, curriculum
ELOISA BERNARDO
She began as a soloist in some minor rock-blues bands. Between 1992 and ’98 she attended musical studies at the Istituto Musicale Città di Rivoli (Turin) first jazz singing and then, between’98 and’99, vocal improvisation. She is also studying operatic singing. In summer ’99 she attended a jazz seminar at the Manhattan School of New York in Italy. She recorded an album as a chorister with «Envil» band.
TERRY FESSIA
She's a singing teacher at the Istituto Musicale Città di Rivoli (Turin). She attended classical studies at the Piccolo Conservatorio of Milan under Rosetta Noli, then with Gabriella Ravazzi, Wally Salio and Nancy Marano. She has a good experience in pop music and as a chorister. Since 1986 she has collaborated with jazz players (Santoro, Petracca, Boltro, Negro, Artiglia, Faraò, Leveratto, Rivagli, Di Castri, Rashid, Alì, H. Cristi, Maccagno). She has also studied jazz language in some stages (teachers: Giorgio Gaslini, Bob Stoloff, Sheila Jordan).
GIOVANNI GRIMALDI
Composer and arranger (especially for vocal groups), he has been a singing teacher at the Centro Jazz (Turin) since 1987. He has a diploma in Theory and Solfeggio from the Conservatoire of Turin and he studied singing and harmony with teachers like Gianni Negro and Gabriella Ravazzi. He attended several musical stages, such as the Berklee School in Umbria directed by Bob Stoloff, and others with Steve Lacy and Mal Waldrom. He’s been part of Francesca Oliveri’s «Deep River Choir» (they recorded together an album), then he was the vocalist of «Dixietoday», a popular band which played traditional jazz and dixieland swing. Now he is giving concerts with guitarist Pino Russo.
MARCO LUONGO
He started singing jazz music after 9 years of classical piano studies, and after being vocalist and sax player in some rock bands and reggae band. Now, he is still studying vocal tecnique (Giovanni Grimaldi teacher) and jazz trombone (Luca Begonia teacher).
ANDREA PALA
Vibraphonist and composer, he was first a percussionist. For a long time he' has been part of some jazz bands in Turin and he collaborated with Danilo Pala, Fulvio Trudu, Maurizio Plancher and others. He founded "Watari ni fune", an acid jazz group, together with Mario Chiosso, M. Plancher, D. Pala and Marcello Strati. With Terry Fessia, vocalist of "Watari ni fune", he composes the band's songs. He has been part of the "Four Fellows" since 1999.
PINO RUSSO (www.pinorusso.it)
Born in 1957, a biologist "graduated" in classic guitar, is today a performer and composer. He teach Music Theory, armony, ensemble music, and guitar at the Turin Jazz Center . Nicknamed the "six-string-Orchestra" for his dynamic view of sound and guitar touch. He intensely studied the tone of the amplified classic guitar sound exploring diverse music fields like Jazz, Contemporary, Bossa-Nova, Mediterranean and Bachiano counterpoint.
